Hello, Infinity Realms explorers!
We have some very exciting news to share with all of you. It's a decision that's been brewing for a while, sparked by our admiration for the groundbreaking developments consistently put forth by Loopring, and our belief that what they have built and are building can supercharge Infinity Realms in many ways.
Infinity Realms is Building on Loopring!
Loopring’s creator-centric ecosystem perfectly aligns with our objective of building a living, breathing multiverse of ever-expanding experiences. Leveraging Loopring's technology, we will be able to tap into Ethereum Layer 1-level security, while taking advantage of the dramatically lower fees and considerably higher speeds offered by Layer 2 (and beyond). This seamless and efficient framework enables us to create not just awesome experiences, but also highly rewarding mechanics for all our players.
Rest assured, full support for MyMetaverse-crafted Redlight NFTs remains in our plans. We are committed to enhancing the in-game utility of these assets, and future MyMetaverse x Redlight mints. Multi-chain asset support for other projects remains important to us.
As we move forward, we will be designing and minting our Infinity Realms NFT offerings on Loopring. As our development progresses, we will be designing and building our in-game NFT earning mechanics with Loopring and its tools in mind. There will be many forms of in-game opportunities to earn Loopring-minted NFTs through quests, events, random drops from enemies and resource nodes, scannable QR "Red Packets", and more. The powerful array of utilities in the Loopring tech stack opens up a plethora of possibilities for us, and we can't wait to harness them all.

The creators and projects found within the Loopring ecosystem are truly next-level in many ways. Because of this, we're excited and eager to begin integrating NFTs from other projects that are building on Loopring. We are inspired by the sheer talent and innovative spirit that resides in the community, and welcome them with open arms to the infinite expanse of the Infinity Realms multiverse. There are numerous amazing projects focused on interoperability, creative cooperation, and crafting top-tier assets. We believe collaboration is the key to unlocking the true potential of web3 -- and we can't wait to build together.
Our goal is to enhance the incredible assets and NFTs of projects that are building on Loopring by providing them meaningful utility within Infinity Realms. Whether through tokengated asset integrations, custom events, quests, or even entirely new Realms(in-game worlds), we are excited to work together to bring their creative universes to life in our ever-expanding multiverse.
We're already in the process of planning some collaborations, and will soon open up for many more.

A New Chapter for Infinity Land NFTs: Your Voice Matters!
We're at a thrilling juncture in our journey, and Infinity Land NFTs are facing some changes. We feel that the only way forward is to bring everyone who has purchased an Infinity Land NFT into this important decision. Our goal is to offer a seamless and unified land offering experience, rather than one that's fragmented across multiple blockchains and marketplaces -- but we want to leave the ultimate decision in your hands. To that end, we're creating a new Discord role for all Infinity Land NFT holders -- the Infinity Landowner role. This role will grant access to a landowner-exclusive channel, provide you with a chance to vote on the future of Infinity Lands, and maybe a few surprises in the future.
We are considering migrating the entire existing Infinity Land collection onto Loopring L2, which would provide a more streamlined and unified experience for our collectors. It would also jump-start the development of a robust secondary market, with the re-minted collection listed on LoopExchange very quickly.
In this scenario, current holders of Infinity Land NFTs, including those who possess MetaHome/MetaBusiness NFTs, would receive a new Loopring L2 version of their lands through a 1:1 airdrop, with the rarity traits of these existing lands retained. However, we believe in empowering our community and hearing your voice in significant decisions such as these -- they are your assets, after all. Where Governors of Infinity help shape other major game design decisions and more, Infinity Landowners will hold power over land mechanics and other land-centric decisions.
These are the two plans that we will be putting forth for our illustrious Infinity Landowners to vote on:
- Optional Migration: If this plan wins the vote, you will have the option to fill out a Google form, send your NFT to a specified burn address, and we'll airdrop you a Loopring L2 version of your land. If you choose not to exchange your NFT, you will retain your existing NFT and it will still offer full functionality in Infinity Realms but will not be tradable until we are able to list them on NFT.io (Efinity) and Midnight Trades (Redlight Chain). We do not have an ETA on this, but will pursue it as soon as those exchanges add the means for us to do so.
- Cohesive Collection: If this plan wins the vote, we will re-mint the entire Infinity Land collection on Loopring L2. All holders will receive new versions of their lands via a 1:1 airdrop, preserving rarity levels. Old versions of the NFTs will then be deprecated. This option would result in a unified collection, avoiding fragmentation across multiple blockchains and marketplaces, while also providing the quickest route to a secondary market as we will be able to list them on LoopExchange immediately after the airdrop is completed.
Regardless of which plan wins the upcoming vote, Infinity Land NFTs will remain for sale on MyMetaverse until Tuesday, 7/25 - after which they will no longer be available for purchase with the Carbon minting currency. We will soon be opening our very own Loopring mint shop on infinityrealms.io, where the remaining supply of Infinity Land NFTs will be purchasable from us directly. Our new mint shop will offer other exclusive mints in the future, and will allow for both fiat and crypto payment options. We will work to ensure that every Loopring NFT we release will immediately be tradable on a Loopring secondary market.
Following the vote, we'll initiate the chosen plan (either Optional Migration or Cohesive Collection) and begin the transition of Infinity Land NFTs to Loopring L2, whether it be the full collection or partial.
Please note that depending on the voting results, the re-minting, airdropping, and shop opening process may take some time. Rest assured, we'll keep you updated and expedite the process wherever possible.
Due to these impending changes, Infinity Land NFTs will not be immediately usable in-game when Infinity Realms goes live on 7/21. We will give ample notice before the land claiming feature is activated, giving you time to explore the game and prospect desirable locations to claim as your own when the time comes.
As soon as the chosen process is finished and the collection is live on LoopExchange, you'll be able to freely trade your new Loopring L2 Infinity Lands. We can't wait to provide a platform where a thriving secondary market can evolve.
